Overview

81mm forged piston for stock bore Hayabusa (99-07)
13:1 compression ratio for increased horsepower over stock
Machined from 2618 T6 high tensile forged aluminum
Dome/Dish features smooth flowing radii and require no deburring or preparation
Brock's Performance custom JE pistons are specifically engineered for extreme applications including professional competition
Includes 1 piston, 1 ring assembly for coated bores, 1 tool steel straight wall pin, and 2 wire locks

We are often asked why our Brock's Performance custom pistons differ from the standard JE’s. Of course we both strive for maximum performance and reliability on the street and track, but occasionally we notice our pistons seem to see severe usage (our guys are animals, usually with Nitrous Oxide!)

We have a modified compression height. This allows the novice or experienced engine builder to “squeeze” his engine more or less with the use of particular base gaskets without creating extreme HP losses from running a safer piston to head clearance. Measured clearance is dependent upon several variables including cylinder height after plating. We use .005 copper in addition to stock or 2 stock base gaskets, no custom machine work required.
We use a “Napier” style ring pack. This is technology designed to decrease wear on the bore for longer engine life while increasing horsepower and ring seal.
Modified top ring placement to prevent detonation damage due to low octane fuel or a “missed” tune up with Nitrous.
Modified second ring groove works in conjunction with top groove modifications to gain additional insurance in case of a problem.
Removal of scavenger and anti-detonation groove (Trade secret).
Modified Intake pocket diameter to increase piston strength above top ring land.
Modified intake pocket angle to provide additional piston to valve clearance towards the center of the piston (at 7-10 degrees ATDC) without hurting compression as much as simply adding a deeper pocket (which would also decrease distance/strength between the bottom of the intake pocket and the top ring groove).
Modified exhaust pocket angle for the same reason as the modified intake pocket angle, except at 7-10 degrees BTDC.

We sell our custom JE’s at a comparable price to the standard and far lower than any other custom piston would cost. You also receive our tech support, assembly sheet and ring theory literature, free with purchase.

We have not received a single customer complaint or reported failure since the release of this piston design at the beginning of the 2004-05 race season!
